Instructions for the internal repair of cement mortar lining
Cracks in cement mortar of around 10mm wide do not need internal repair, as the cement lining expands and grows over the cracks when water passes through the pipes. This occur naturally in both ductile iron and steel cement lined pipes.
For the areas that have damaded internal lining and requires a repair, remove the loose materials ( not the matieral that is still attached), wet the area to which the cement is to be applied. Mix the components in the cement mortar repair bucket according to the instructions provided and apply the cement to the area with a trowel. Smooth the cement so that it is flush with the adjoining cement leave it until it gets hard.
